Anthony Robbins

I first connected with the teachings of Tony in the summer of '89 when I responded to Tony's tv infomercial and bought his course "Unlimited Power".  At the time, I was doing well in my chosen profession; but, I was wanting something more effortless, more fulfilling.  I also wanted more wellbeing ... personally, emotionally, socially etc..  I spent about an (intense) hour a day for 30 days listening to the teachings and completing the exercises.

I liked Tony's course for several reasons:

  • The course was very good at identifying how my personal views of the world around me were impacting my life ... many times in terrible, limiting ways.

  • The course contained powerful techniques for changing any beliefs to those beliefs that would better serve personal ideas of success.

  • The focus was on process rather than content.  I never felt any pressure about what to believe.  Rather, Tony's taped messages helped me identify my own limiting beliefs; showed me which beliefs had served other peoples' successes; and, taught me some very effective techniques for revising personal beliefs to support ideas of what success could mean to me.

  • The course kept me interested and motivated.  Assignments that could have taken hours, with Tony's help, were done in 30 minutes so I never felt bogged down or bored.  Quite the reverse ... I felt more enthusiastic as I became more empowered by his teachings.  Tony helped me find hope.  He helped me nurture positive expectations.

  • The course taught me how to take a proactive approach to designing my life.  It provided a very real path to a much healthier lifestyle.  I was no longer tempted to become/remain a victim.  The course taught me how to achieve a winning frame of mind.  All that was left was to answer the question "If I know how to get ANYTHING that I want, what is it that I do REALLY want?"

  • Tony moved me to identify and overcome my fear of success.
I took this same exact course twice.  The first time, the (probing) questions were very new to me.  At the end of the first 30 days, I had earned huge respect for how powerful the course was.  In that context, I became dissatisfied with my responses given the first time around.  I realized I wasn't aiming high enough.  6 months later, in the spring of '90, I did the exact same "Unlimited Power" course again .... this time (as a new person), I framed the 30 exercises within a premeditated, Spiritual context ... and found it more thrilling, beneficial, empowering, and Joyous than I would have dreamed.  It blew my mind then as it continues to do now.

If you want to jumpstart your path to Joy, consider getting some exposure to Tony's teachings.  Check out his website.
